VEGA celebrate 25 years
VEGA UK was founded as an official subsidiary of the parent company in 1992 and originally based in Northampton with only 3 staff. Back then the original main line products were capacitive 4 wire probes, hydrostatic, electromechanical ‘plumb bobs’ for big silos. The latest in level measurement was non contact technology – a 4m range ultrasonic sensor measuring at the speed of sound – 331.6 m/second. All products were backed with a one year warranty.
How times have changed, now at our UK sales office we employ over 35 staff with our leading products including fail safe vibrating tuning fork level switches, ultrasonic sensors with ranges to 70m, radar and TDR level transmitters measuring liquids and solids at the speed of light – 330,000,000 m/second! All products now come with a standard 3 year warranty. One thing hasn’t changed though, we treat every customer application with the care and attention of our first.
We are celebrating our anniversary on the 8th of June and closing the office for the afternoon. Pictures on the blog site soon!
