Just as every device, that you add to your computer system like printers, scanners, webcams etc, have their own drivers to help you install them, instrumentation devices have their own drivers too. These are called Device Type Managers, or DTMs for short.
Within the relevant DTM all the parameters and functions of the field device are available and accessible. As well as these usual adjustment functions, these DTMs also contain diagnostic and service functions that enable the instrumentation to be optimally adapted to the application it is being used for.
A DTM can be for a single instrument, or a whole family of instruments.
Where can I get a DTM for my VEGA instrumentation?
Each instrumentation manufacturer will have a DTM (Device Type Manager) developed for each field device, or a range of field devices.

This version covers device parameterisation, without project saving and project documentation.
